The Rhona Mitchell School of Drama was set up originally in Inverurie in 1983, and then operating as MSD in the West End of Glasgow in 1988, where it ran very successfully until Rhona's return to Aberdeenshire in 1998.

Many of MSD's former students have gone on to study drama full-time: many are working professionally as actors, directors and in television.



Tina Olsen, BA(Hons) Drama and Theatre Arts, Queen Margaret University College.
Before moving to the North East she worked full time for the Eden Court Outreach Team in Inverness, as a Youth Arts Worker and Project Co-ordinator.
She has also been a Drama Worker at various schools and youth theatres throughout Scotland.

Rhona is an experienced teacher/director who founded the school.

She has worked professionally on stage and on radio.

She now works for Aberdeen Actors Company; she is part of the team for Kaleidoscope Arts Festival and works as a supply drama teacher in schools.

For Abderite Productions she directed 'Gobi's Eyes' in 2004 and 'OUCH' in 2005 and 'Gertrude's Son' in 2006 at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen.

She has been a freelance voice coach, drama tutor and director since 1982, working at Scottish and Grampian Television, BBC Scotland and many theatres across Scotland.

Pamela Taylor, Ass.T., Ass H., SDTA, Silver Medal, LAM

Trained at Italia Conti for 3 years gaining a Diploma in Performing Arts.

For the last 15 years Pam has worked extensively throughout the North East, teaching dance to 3 year olds to 60 year olds. She is an experienced freelance choreographer, performer and teacher.
